Vonda Adelle Beathe, 85, of Tulsa passed away on June 3, 2024, after a brief illness. She was a resident of Montereau Senior Living Community having moved there recently.

Adelle was born on November 15, 1938, in Sycamore, Kansas to Harold James Beathe and Grace Eulalia Johnson. She graduated as Salutatorian from Caney High School in Caney, Kansas in 1956. She attended Coffeyville Junior College, earning her Associate of Arts Degree in 1958. She also attended Oklahoma State University and remained a lifelong fan! It is there that she met her besties, known as "The Goofies." These ladies remained best friends for over 60 years. Getting together to travel, watch OSU sporting events and simply look out for each other.

Adelle was an executive secretary extraordinaire! She enjoyed her years at McDonnell-Douglas, Oxy and most importantly, City Service. She made lifelong friends in each of these places, and she continued to be active in the City Service alumni activities.

Adelle was a member of First Presbyterian Church since her arrival in Tulsa in 1969 and was a faithful attendee of the 8:00am worship service. She was instrumental in Helping Hand Ministries and worked as a board member and volunteer for many years. She was also her mother's caretaker for many years, first in Caney, Kansas and then in Tulsa where they moved together. They enjoyed each other's company, hosting other family members when they came to town and the company of their many furry friends.

Adelle was preceded in death by her parents, brother Harold Beathe, Jr, sister Patricia Alexander, sister Norma "Ducky" Tricks and good friend Bob Dillsaver.

Adelle is survived by five nephews, two nieces, and many great-nephews and great-nieces, her sweet dog Gracie and many dear friends and co-workers.

Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to First Presbyterian Church – Tulsa or The Humane Society of Tulsa.
