Walland E. Krause was born in Goessel, Kansas on January 7, 1936 to Jacob Krause and Christine (Unruh) Krause.

Wally entered the Air Force in 1955 where he was trained as an Air Traffic Controller. He married Kathryn ( Grever) Krause in 1958 in Wichita, KS. He began his career as an Air Traffic Controller in 1959 at Fort Worth Center in Fort Worth Texas. They lived in Fort Worth with their three girls until 1968 when they moved to Tulsa Oklahoma. Wally continued his career with the FAA at Tulsa International Airport until his retirement in 1991. He then owned a landscaping business until 1996.

In earlier years y ou would have found Wally backpacking and mountain climbing with friends or the Boy Scouts, working in his garden, experimenting with skydiving, cooking, building toys and furniture for his 3 grandsons, bicycling all over Oklahoma with Kay and traveling as much as possible. A true family man, he loved being with Kay and as many family members as possible. He was happiest with a house full of people and a table full of food.

He is preceded in death by his four brothers and one sister. Orval Krause of Wichita Kansas, Larry Krause of Dalla Texas, Lil (Krause) Watts of Guthrie Oklahoma, Norm Krause of Portland Oregon and Bill Krause of Durango, Colorado.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Kay, their three daughters Kristi Allen, Mindy and husband Mark Parks, and Heidi and husband Joe Covey. Their three grandchildren Matt and wife Betsy Allen, Jerry and wife Keyna Allen and Justin Parks. Their two great grandchildren, Madison and Olivia Allen.

"I don't know how you would summarize his contribution to me as a person, but he was like a dad to me. And, backpacker, handyman, picked us up from school, taught me everything. Not anything people who know him didn't already know." Matt

Our memories of you are eternal and we are thankful for the impact you had on our lives.

And Dad, e ve ryone thinks you were a really nice guy.

A Celebration of the Lives of Kay & Wally Krause will be held at 1PM Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Stanleys Chapel with a catered reception to follow.
